Hi, I'm Echo!I live in Austin, Texas and I am currently studying Business Administration at Austin Community College, with hopes to transfer to Western Carolina University in 2027.I go by a few names Echo, Ev, Joel, Aster, and Evelyn. For simplicity's sake just call me Echo :DI began watching My Little Pony in 2012, when I was just 5 years old. Later down in life I began finding others who also enjoyed the show. Ever since then I have gotten into other fandoms, including: Furry, Nimona, Critical Role, How To Train Your Dragon, Raya and the Last Dragon, Tales of Zale, Tinkerbell, Wolfwalkers, Song of the Sea, and D&D and other ttrpg.I am trying to learn art. Unfortunately, my hobby has kinda been put on hold due to college. In the meantime though, I have commissioned art pieces from my favorite artists, to display my characters.Character creation is one of my biggest passions! I love creating lore for custom characters in different fandoms. My characters represent all different aspects of who I am and who we all are. They highlight the differences found in us all and provide inspiration to others who may be going through hard times. I try to show my characters through TTRPG campaigns such as Dungeons and Dragons, and Daggerhart. Typically I play the role of the game master, leading adventures for others and showing off my characters through interactive and heartfelt experiences. One of the major aspects of my personality is that I am "one with nature." Ever since I was little I always enjoyed camping and hiking through the woods as it brought me closer to what I imagined freedom to be. I loved roaming through the woods, seeing the birds fly, the deer prance, and creating a shelter out of sticks and leaves I found in the forest, then decorating it with rocks, acorns, and flowers. Ever since I was young I was fascinated with how animations were presented and how they managed to tell a story. I always loved the art and how characters from my imagination could become real through video. Unfortunately, animation is not in my skill set, but I still love sharing my favorite animations. The following animations, I feel, do an amazing job creating stunning animation and stories, while also including some elements apparent or implied that led me to discover who I am today.
Wolfwalkers
Wolfwalkers, the final movie in Cartoon Saloon's Irish folktale trilogy, follows the story of Robyn and Mebh. Robyn's father is tasked with hunting wolves by the Lord Protector, however, like Robyn, by understanding the Wolfwalkers he understands that the ways of the town are wrong. The movie shows us the importance of questioning authority and how it is okay to go against custom. Some may even find this movie to represent their queer journey on a path of discovering one's identity.
*Requires an Apple TV Subscription. You can use a 7 day trial and cancel your subscription before your billing cycle begins to watch for free.
Tales Of Zale
Tales of Zale is a really good and heartfelt animation following Zale the fox on his path of self discovery in a world left behind by humans. On top of the animation it also has a full soundtrack on most music streaming platforms. It is a quick watch with the entire series totaling around 30 minutes. In February a Kickstarter is being launched to start production on a Tales of Zale animated TV Series.
Song of the Sea
Song of the Sea is an animation I watched when I was younger then came back to later down the line. Telling the tale of Silkies, humans that have a pull toward the sea and can turn into seals when wearing the silky coats, Song of the Sea is the second movie in Cartoon Saloon's Irish Folklore Trilogy. This movie directly teaches the harm of bottling up your emotions. It also shows the good of adventure, storytelling, and loving each other.

Kit Fox | She/They | My Fursona
Aster represents the positivity in the world if you choose to look around and enjoy life. Her name meaning "star" represents her fascination with the universe as well as representing our connection to each other. This character is also one of my main ponysonas!Lore and More coming soon!
Red Fox | She/Her
Quiet yet friendly Echo represents the introverted, curious, and adventurous side of my personality/identity often left unseen by others. Echo shines brightest when I am out in nature, hiking, crossing streams, climbing mountains, and enjoying stunning views. She enjoys imagining the vast expanse of fields and flowers while thinking deeply about what gives one freedom and happiness in life.Pausing at the top of a mountain ridge, Echo looks at the long, green valley below. As the sun sets she begins to question her purpose. While she pauses in silence she hears a rustle in the bushes behind her. As she turns around two other red foxes emerge, and lay down, inviting her to join. All of a sudden she realizes the friends she has found make her flower blossom. They give her purpose alongside the fresh air of the mountains.Echo reminds us to find the joy in friendship and the freedom in nature. She reminds us to lay our judgements to rest and welcome each other with open arms. For we know not what others are going through.

What does Otherhearted mean?
Otherhearted means that a person has a deep connection or identifies with something, without identifying as that thing. In my case, I identify and have a deep connection with the Red fox, an animal. People can also have connections to fictional characters such as dragons! I like to think of otherhearted people as therians or otherkins taken down a level.
What is a Hearttype?
A hearttype is a non-human species that the otherhearted person has a deep, fundamental connection to. I only have one hearttype, the red fox. However, people can have many hearttypes. Having many hearttypes is not a problem!Remember that though my hearttype has a name, does not make it a separate character from myself. On occasion I prefer to go by an alternate name, "Echo," because it helps me feel closer to my hearttype.
Do you do quadrobics?
Absolutely! Quadrobics is one of my favorite parts of being otherhearted. Whenever I do quadrobics I feel closer to my hearttype and I feel free! Fun fact: you can do quadrobics no matter what you identify as, it is a developing sport that is quite fun! I'm not the best at explaining what quadrobics is but I have linked a great source below that I highly encourage reading.
How is this different from being a furry?
The main difference between the two is identity v.s. hobby. Being otherhearted means you have a deep, "involuntary" internal connection to a non-human species. Whereas, being a furry is an interest based hobby/fandom where people create art and fursonas for anthropomorphic animals.
Note: these questions were answered with light research. Individual experiences/opinions may differ from what you see above.
